NASA taps Scobee Education Center as resource to study STEM

The Scobee Education Center is a 22,000-square-foot facility at San Antonio College

NASA has chosen San Antonio's Scobee Education Center as a partner to provide space exploration and STEM education to traditionally undeserved areas, naming it an Informal Education Community Anchor.

As part of the designation, NASA will sponsor Fiesta del Sol, an educational project developed by the Scobee Education Center to use two major solar eclipse events as a STEM learning tool. The center will also be holding viewing parties for thousands of visitors during these solar events, including a total lunar eclipse viewing party on May 15, 2022.
