Rockets and Launch

Jon Binkley graduated from West Torrance High School in 1980 and, soon took a job as an auto mechanic. Yes, instead of college, Jon was changing oil and replacing tires and shocks. He saw the light, and enrolled at CSUDH in 1982, graduating in 1986 with a BA in Mathematics. During this time, he received an internship which turned into a full-time job at Northrop Grumman, formerly TRW. In 1987, Jon took a job at The Aerospace Corporation as a Statistician, where he received a Fellowship position at UCLA. Later, Jon received an MS degree in Statistics in 1989. He has been at The Aerospace Corporation for 35 years, whew, where he's (1) provided statistical and reliability support for launch and space vehicle programs, (2) worked in the Delta IV program office, (3) directed Aerospace’s Launch Support Facility, and (4) investigated the cause and corrective action of launch vehicles. When Jon isn’t thinking about rockets, he can be found paddleboarding, hiking, or changing oil.
