The AOPA team, operating out of offices in Frederick, Maryland, and Washington, DC, exists to protect and to grow the incredible privilege that we call general aviation. The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) offers over $1 million in scholarships to its members, made possible through donations to the AOPA Foundation. These scholarships, ranging from $2,500 to $14,000, support members in achieving their aviation aspirations, including primary flight training, advanced ratings/certificates, and aviation maintenance. Eligible to U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents who are AOPA members, some scholarships may have additional criteria. The number and value of scholarships depend on donor funding and applicants will be considered for all scholarships they qualify for.
