AOPA Foundation Scholarship Program

AOPA Foundation Scholarship Program

About the Organization

The AOPA team, operating out of offices in Frederick, Maryland, and Washington, DC, exists to protect and to grow the incredible privilege that we call general aviation. Whether it is through educating the public about the fun and the utility that aircraft can provide, preparing resources and training material to enhance the skills of pilots everywhere, or advocating for aviation within government agencies—it is our job to maintain the strength and vitality of the flying community. Our mission is to ensure that the sky remains within reach of everyone who dreams of becoming a pilot.

About Scholarships

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) offers over $1 million in scholarships to its members, made possible through donations to the AOPA Foundation. These scholarships, ranging from $2,500 to $14,000, support members in achieving their aviation aspirations, including primary flight training, advanced ratings/certificates, and aviation maintenance. Eligible to U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents who are AOPA members, some scholarships may have additional criteria. The number and value of scholarships depend on donor funding and applicants will be considered for all scholarships they qualify for. Join AOPA to access these valuable scholarship opportunities and advance your aviation career.
