Ignite the Spark of Invention in Your Students
There is still time to participate in the 2025 Invention Convention Texas (ICTX)! This transformative program is designed to ignite your students' creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills through hands-on invention education.
Here’s what makes this opportunity perfect for your school:
· FREE & Adaptable Curriculum: Tailored to your needs with detailed lesson plans, PowerPoints, videos, student worksheets and much more.
· Skill Development: Students work through the 7-step invention process, culminating in creating prototypes and presenting their ideas.
· Aligned Standards: Designed to meet US Educational Standards (NGSS and Common Core)
· Flexible Implementation: Easily incorporate it into classrooms, after-school programs, or even at home.
Participation in invention education is free, and all resources are available at no cost through inHub by The Henry Ford ( https://inhub.thehenryford.org/ ). Your students will showcase their innovations locally, with the top projects advancing to the state-level ICTX competition on May 3, 2025, held at Texas A&M University. Winning ICTX projects will have the opportunity to exhibit their projects in the U.S. Nationals competition at The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan.

Great question!
Invention Convention Texas is open to any and all Texas school-age students, but they must reside in the state. However, they don't necessarily have to participate through their school, they can participate through an outside organization such as the Scouts, Boys and Girls Club, Afterschool Program, etc. Homeschools are also welcome to participate. If students don't have one of these groups to participate through, they can still participate as an Independent Texas Inventor. They just indicate through the interest form.
For those outside of Texas, there are still lots of ways to participate. Invention Convention Worldwide (ICW) has many state affiliates across the U.S. Students should start there by seeing if there is an affiliate in their state. If not, then they can participate through the Independent Inventor Program (IIP). In other words, there are lots of ways to participate no matter where students live!
If you have a moment, you might take a look through the ICW website. It provides a wealth of information about the entire ICW program. It also contains links to the free curriculum that anyone can sign up for and use however they wish - part of the beauty of the program, its flexibility.
Let me know what other questions you have.
Thanks for helping spread the word!
