Dee Howard (R) and Bill Lear (L) in the 1970s.

Dee Howard an aviation pioneer in SA

He pioneered the business-flightmarket in U.S.

You wouldn’t think there would have been many firsts in flight left for someone who wasn’t born until 1920 — the year of the first transcontinental air-mail service, the first U.S. Navy flight and the first vapor trail, left by the first turbo-charged aircraft. Yet Dee Howard found a way to become an aviation pioneer anyway, long after leather helmets and fringed scarves were passé.
